Vintage hardcover book - The Popular Book for Children. Lovely two-toned illustrations throughout. Colour plate at front. A selection of short stories, rhymes and puzzles for young children.

This book has been loved and used over the years (60 plus). Nevertheless, I love a book that has some history, I can see and feel that is has been appreciated and used which gives it a life of its own. Not for everyone, this would also be an ideal book for cutting up for any papercrafts, collage, scrapbooking, junk journals and more.

This book is in poor condition.
It has most certainly been loved over the years. The price reflects the condition of the book.
The front and back covers are very buffed and scuffed the edges are very worn. The spine has lost its top colour layer. There is a pencil inscription on the inside cover and another inscription in ink on the first page - this one is good though as it dates the book 1958. Also a price written in ink inside cover.
The colour plate page is coming away from the spine.
The pages are stitched and mostly all holding in place although a little loose in places.
Several age stains throughout, a couple of pages have chipping and two torn pages.
